Tiny Dragons - Karate for Young Kids
Our program designed specifically for children aged 3 to 4 is called 'Tiny Dragons'. It's a 'parents on the mat' format, where parents/carers also participate - supporting, guiding and having fun with their child.
What’s NOT to love about our Tiny Dragons Program? It's a wonderful, relaxed 'bonding' experience, and we find the parents have as much fun as the kids!
Expect improved focus, gross motor skills, school readiness, strength, balance and coordination - oh, and an absolute cuteness overload :)
Lil Dragons - Karate for Kids
Our program for children 5 to 8 is called 'Lil Dragon Champions'. These classes are larger and more structured, teaching more challenging concepts and physical/technical skills.
Lil Dragons develop their physical skills - dynamic movement, coordination, agility, strength & balance. They also learn ‘Black Belt’ values - including courtesy & respect, and how/why to lead a life of kindness, contribution & non-violence. And our parents love the child safety & self defense lessons - including the most up-to-date mindfulness & anti-bullying strategies & techniques.
Our quiet/shy kids grow to be more confident and resilient. Our wonderful 'high energy' kids learn focus, concentration and self-discipline. We do all this in a fast moving and fun format, which keeps the little ones interested and engaged.
Young Dragons - Karate for Teens
Our program for older kids (usually 9 years and over) offers a traditional Shotokan Karate experience. Improve stamina, strength, flexibility, gross and fine motor skills, and technical perfection in the art of Karate.
In addition you’ll learn anti-bullying and practical self defense and personal safety skills in a supportive and fun environment.
Working or studying hard? Karate can help kick-start brain function, release ‘happy hormones’, level out your emotional state, help improve sleep quality and improve your energy levels. Who doesn’t want all that???
Or simply join in to have some fun and make new friends. BBMA Young Dragons are outstanding young adults - respectful family members and leaders in their schools and communities.

Adult Karate
Martial arts isn’t just for the kids! We welcome adult students of all levels, what ever level of fitness, from totally unfit to the honed athlete, whatever level of martial arts experience, from brand new beginner to experienced Black Belt, BBMA has a program that will suit your level and help you reach your goals.
‘Grand Masters Karate program
Low-impact, safe, and designed exclusively for older adults (in their 50’s, 60’s, 70’s and 80’s). Are you looking for a gentle (no pain, no fighting, no jumping or spinning) but challenging activity? Something fun that will keep you interested, active & engaged? Want to ramp up (or bring back) your love for life??
This thoughtfully designed program makes traditional Karate accessible and oh-so-do-able for mature-age adults.
Family Karate
The family that kicks together sticks together! At BBMA we have a long tradition of families training together and many go on to achieve their black belts at the same time. Although our classes are specialised by age, by the time your child is 8 or 9 you can train along side them in our safe & family-oriented classes.
Our families tell us that karate at BBMA has brought them closer together - laughing, sweating and learning - as a family.
We love our families and offer a 10% ‘Family Discount’ when family members train with us. We are also an approved Active Kids Provider and accept Active Kids Vouchers.

Cardio Kickboxing
For teenagers 14+ and adults only.
This program is fast paced & fitness focused. Be your own Zen Master – Laugh, sweat, kick and punch your way to a stress-free zone. You'll release endorphins which can give your mood a boost, helping you feel more confident more positive for several hours after each class. Learn self-defense – You'll be working out anyway, so why not learn valuable self-defense skills at the same time? Perfect for under-confident and atrociously unfit absolute beginners :P, and those ready to take on the world :)
