Cancellation & Refund Policy - Paid Events

This policy applies to paid classes & events at Black Belt Martial Arts Hornsby - including, but not restricted to workshops, seminars, private testing, Group/Level upgrade tests, private lessons and any other class or event requiring pre-payment.

Due to high demand and very limited seating, and as a courtesy to the staff employed to serve you, we request that you cancel at least 48 hours before a scheduled event.

This allows us enough time to:

  • In the case of group events - offer your place to another person

  • In the case of a private lesson/event - offer your spot to another person. And failing that, to amend our staffing arrangements. We are a small team. When we have a private lesson booked we employ extra staff to serve you.

Cancellations at least 24 hours before the event

Full Refund applies.

Cancellation made at least 24 hours prior to the event will receive a complete refund. Refunds will be made via the original payment method. If preferred, students of BBMA Hornsby can elect to receive a credit towards future tuition payments.

Cancellations within 24 hours of the event

Credit Note applies.

Cancellations made within 24 hours of the event will receive a credit, to be used against a future event at BBMA Hornsby. We will do our best to accommodate your preference here. Unused credits will expire in 12 months. Students of BBMA Hornsby may apply this credit note towards their next upcoming tuition payment.

No-Show

No refund or credit.

If you do not cancel, and you fail to show up at the event (without any prior notice) you will not be entitled to receive a refund or credit note.

When you register (or pay) for a paid class or event at BBMA Hornsby, you agree to these terms.

Policy Updates:

We reserve the right to update and modify this cancellation policy as needed.

  • Any changes will be effective immediately upon posting on our website.

  • By purchasing with Black Belt Martial Arts Hornsby, you acknowledge and agree to the terms outlined in this cancellation policy.
