BBMA Hornsby Refund & Returns Policy

We offer 14 day returns for change of mind of physical goods purchased from BBMA Hornsby. 

Please return your goods in person to our Hornsby Dojo within 14 days of purchase.

Please note, exceptions do apply*

To be eligible for a return, your item:

- Must be unused, unworn and in the same condition that you received it
- Must be returned within 14 calendar days of receiving the order
- Must be in its original packaging
- Must have the receipt or proof of purchase

We reserve the right to refuse refunds for items NOT meeting these criteria

 *Items not eligible for ‘change of mind’ cancellation, refund or return:

  • Any service already offered (made available as agreed), delivered or performed

  • Downloadable Digital Goods and services

  • Perishable Goods

  • Items on sale / clearance and ‘end of the line’ items

  • Customised and personalised items - eg. custom embroidered goods, Gi’s which have been custom ordered and bags or merchandise with personalised embroidery

  • Custom orders - eg. Speciality Kata or Kumite Gi’s, and safety equipment. We do not hold these items in stock. These items must be ordered from an external supplier in a specific size - as per a specific customer request. These items cannot normally be re-sold and so are not eligible for ‘change of mind’ returns.

  • Requests received after 14 days of receiving your order

  • Items without original tags and packaging

  • Items which appear to have been used/worn or are not in original condition.

  • Items with no receipt of purchase

We reserve the right to refuse refunds for items meeting these criteria

Exchange:

  • Exchanges for the same item in a different size (and currently in stock at our Hornsby premises) will not incur any additional charges.

  • If the new item is a different product (including a different colour) and there is a price difference you may need to pay the difference or receive only a partial refund.

  • Please note: When place Custom orders (eg. a high quality Kata or Kumite Gi’s, or specialist safety gear), please take extra care when selecting your size. We do not hold these items in stock, and will NOT be able to exchange the item for another size if you make a mistak. Please check the supplier website for sizing guidelines BEFORE placing your order. Ask us if you need help.

Refund:

  • If we approve a refund, the purchase price will be refunded to you minus any fees & charges (eg. Ezidebit fees, online store Stripe fees, or delivery charges).

  • If you paid using a credit card, please bring the same card with you as we will only refund to the card we originally charged.

  • Any refund for purchases made via the BBMA Hornsby online store will be paid to the original card only (the same card originally charged).

  • Online store purchases may not be redeemed/returned/exchanged for cash.

  • Refunds and exchanges will not include the cost of shipping, nor any Ezidebit/Stripe/credit card fees or charges paid by either party.

  • Gift Cards may not be exchanged for cash, nor refunded in cash, and are not transferable.

  • Active Kids Vouchers may not be exchanged for cash, nor refunded in cash.

Canceling a Refund:

In certain circumstances, we reserve the right to cancel a refund if new information emerges that proves the customer's claim invalid. Customers will be notified promptly, and an explanation will be provided.

Compliance with Laws:

Our refund policy complies with the Australian Consumer Law (ACL) and other relevant consumer protection laws.

Policy Updates:

We reserve the right to update and modify this refund policy as needed.

  • Any changes will be effective immediately upon posting on our website.

  • By purchasing with Black Belt Martial Arts Hornsby, you acknowledge and agree to the terms outlined in this refund policy.
